Cookie Policy

Socks Proxy uses one cookie to keep you signed in, a little browser storage for your settings, and advertising cookies — which you can always turn off.

In short

  • Essential storage keeps you signed in and remembers your settings. The site doesn’t work without it, so it is always on.
  • Advertising cookies help pay for the site. In the EU/EEA, the UK and Switzerland they are only used after you press Allow all cookies. Everywhere else they are on by default, and you can turn them off.
  • If you choose Essential only, no ad scripts are loaded.
  • You can change your mind any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page.

These are not used to track you across other websites.

Advertising (your choice)

Some pages (such as the IP checker and Classic proxies) show ads from our advertising partner Monetag. When advertising cookies are on, Monetag and its partners may set cookies or use similar technology to show and measure ads, and may personalise them. Monetag’s own privacy policy explains what it collects.

  • EU/EEA, UK and Switzerland: we ask first. Ads load only after you press Allow all cookies.
  • Everywhere else: advertising cookies are on by default and a notice tells you so on your first visit. Turn them off any time with Cookie settings → Essential only.

We work out your region from your connection’s country (provided by our host, Cloudflare). If it can’t be worked out, we ask first.

The “Ad / Offers” box on some pages is just a picture and a link we choose — it runs no ad script.

Our site may also offer browser notifications through Monetag. These only start if you separately press Allow in your browser’s notification prompt, and you can turn them off in your browser settings.

Changing your choice

Use Cookie settings at the bottom of any page to switch between Allow all cookies and Essential only. You can also clear cookies and site data in your browser at any time (you will be signed out).
