About us
Socks Proxy is a service by Lemulite Studio. Questions about this policy or your information? Write to contact.socksproxy@gmail.com or Telegram @Socks_proxy_support — we’re happy to help.
What we collect
| What | Examples |
|---|---|
| Account | Username, email address, display name, your User ID, which app the account belongs to, and your coin balance. Accounts are run on Microsoft PlayFab; your password is handled by PlayFab and we never see or store it. |
| Sign-ins | When and from where you signed in: IP address (shown to you shortened), approximate location from that IP, and browser/device type. Used for the “Signed-in devices” list on your Account page. |
| Purchases | Order references, the pack bought, amount, status and time. Payments are made on Cryptomus’s page — we do not receive your wallet’s private keys or card details. |
| Proxies | The proxies you unlock or buy (their login details, location, price and time), connection checks and reports you make, and Premium data usage from the provider. |
| Requests and support | What you write in the “Request a proxy” form or send to support. |
| IP checker | The IP checker shows your connection details back to you in your browser. We do not keep a record of each check. |
| Telegram mini app | If you use Socks Proxy inside Telegram: your Telegram user ID, name, username, profile photo link, language and Premium status (sent to us by Telegram when you open the app), your approximate country, the ads you watched (with our ad partner’s confirmation of each view) and the proxies you unlocked. We never see your phone number or your chats. |
| Site statistics | Daily totals of visits: which pages were opened, for how long, from which country, the name of the website that linked to us, device and browser type, and your cookie choice. We count without cookies and store nothing on your device. To count a visitor once a day we keep a scrambled code made from your IP address and browser, which cannot be turned back into either and is deleted after two days; your IP address itself is not stored. |
| Technical | Basic logs kept by our hosting provider (Cloudflare) for security and to keep the site running. |
Why we use it
- to run your account, add the coins you pay for, and deliver the proxies you buy;
- to show you your history, balance, devices and usage;
- to check proxies, handle reports and decide refunds;
- to prevent fraud, payment abuse and misuse, and to enforce our Terms;
- to answer support requests, and to meet legal and accounting obligations;
- to see, in totals, how the site is used, so we can improve it;
- to show ads, which help pay for the site — in the EU/EEA, UK and Switzerland only after you agree; elsewhere until you turn advertising cookies off (see the Cookie Policy).
We do not sell your personal information.
Our legal reasons (legal bases)
- To provide what you asked for (contract): your account, coins, payments, proxies, support.
- Legal obligations: accounting and tax records, and lawful requests from authorities.
- Legitimate interests: keeping the service secure, preventing fraud and abuse, enforcing our Terms, and counting visits in totals to improve the site — balanced against your rights, and you can object (see below).
- Your consent: advertising cookies in the EU/EEA, UK and Switzerland. You can withdraw it at any time with Cookie settings; withdrawing doesn’t affect what happened before.
Your proxy traffic
We do not monitor or record the websites you visit or the content you send through a proxy. Your traffic runs over the proxy provider’s network, which may keep connection records (such as times, data used and IPs) under its own policy.
How long we keep it
- Unlocked classic proxies are cleared from your list every day at midnight UTC, and their login details are deleted from our records.
- Account, purchase and proxy records are kept while your account exists, and purchase records afterwards for as long as accounting, tax and fraud-prevention rules require.
- Sign-in records (IP address, device) are deleted 90 days after that sign-in ends.
- Site statistics: the scrambled daily visitor code is deleted after 2 days; the daily totals, which identify no one, are kept for about 13 months.
- Unfinished sign-ups are cleared when their payment link expires (within 12 hours).
Your choices and rights
- See most of your information on your Account page, and sign other devices out there.
- You can ask us to: give you a copy of your information (also in a portable format), correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or object to uses based on our legitimate interests. Write to us from the email on your account so we know it’s you. We answer within one month.
- Deleting an account removes its coins and proxies, with no refund. We may keep what the law requires us to keep (such as purchase records) for the time it requires.
- Change your advertising choice at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page.
- You can complain to your data protection authority — but please contact us first; we’d like the chance to put things right.
Security
We use secure connections (HTTPS) everywhere, keep your sign-in in a protected cookie that page scripts cannot read, never show your password, and keep provider keys on our servers only. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password and keep it private.
Children
Socks Proxy is not for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children; if you believe a child has an account, contact us and we will close it.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
